Dear Tenants,

Since we last wrote to you, the Coronavirus situation continues to evolve, and with that in mind, I wanted to provide advice and answer any questions you may have.

Rent payments

If you are concerned that you may not be able to pay your rent, please let us know as soon as possible. We appreciate this is a very difficult time for many and will work with you and your landlord to get through this. Options might include a deferment on rent owed, or a payment plan. However, you should be aware that you will still owe this money and it will need to be repaid within an agreed timeframe.

Financial support available through Universal Credit

Whether you are currently on Universal Credit or claiming this benefit for the first time because of the circumstances you find yourself in, there is a raft of support in place for you to help you through this period. For the next three months there is no longer any requirement to attend an interview at a Job Centre given the current emergency and all applications will be dealt with online. Full information on what you are entitled to can be found here https://www.understandinguniversalcredit.gov.uk/coronavirus/ and you should act without delay to claim.

Routine inspections and repairs

For now, adhering to government guidelines on preventing the spread of infection, we won’t be attending any routine property inspections. We will address any maintenance issues reported to us as best we can, limiting any call outs to deal with urgent matters only. Please be as patient with us as possible. Some contractors have already notified us that they are not available during this difficult time. Please also inform us if you are self-isolating.

As always, if there is an emergency, please call the emergency services if necessary and also notify us as soon as possible.

Thank you for working with us during this difficult time. We are here to support you if you need us so please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Please note that our OFFICE IS NOW CLOSED to the public, however, you can still get in touch with us -

via email info@wimberglot.com,

or phone 02920 520 520.

Please continue to direct any maintenance issues to maintenance@wimberglot.com

Kind Regards
